Beachcroft has secured a new client in telecommunications giant, Telefónica (which trades as O2), following a tender exercise earlier this year. The appointment is for Telefónica's cell site network roll out and asset management for the north and central region of the UK covering contentious and non-contentious aspects.
The appointment will also involve an existing team moving from Eversheds to Beachcroft. The team will be based in Beachcroft's Leeds office and is made up of partner, Morag Joyce, four legal executives and a key account co-ordinator.
Morag headed up the Asset Management Group at Eversheds, having spent almost 20 years with the firm. She has extensive experience in the telecommunications sector and specialises in landlord and tenant issues for occupiers.
Viriginia Clegg, National Head of Real Estate at Beachcroft, said: "We are delighted to have been appointed by O2 for their site management work. They sit squarely within our technology and telecommunications sector strategy and we are looking forward to supporting them in delivering their business drivers. Morag and her team will help us in this and will provide Beachcroft with a new way of delivering value for clients operating in a challenging real estate market."
