Each Beachcroft location has partner members of the unit who head up specialist teams and regularly meet to discuss material developments within this specialism and to discuss and devise our approach to meeting the challenges of this area of work. We define catastrophic injury as that of the utmost severity involving the spinal cord, brain or other very serious injuries (including amputations) which require a coordinated and multi-disciplinary approach. Our clients usually define the minimum value of such claims at £500,000. We handle over 200 catastrophic injury cases in any 12 month period.
Our philosophy is to actively encourage early intervention in appropriate cases, opening and maintaining dialogue and communication with the claimant and his/her family/rehabilitation providers as a pre-requisite to the claims process and effective case management.
Wherever possible we aim to place the claimant at the heart of the process so as to understand and to meet the individuals reasonable needs, to reduce the effects of devastating injury and to offer a strategic solution and early resolution of the claim.
