Many of our insurance team have worked in the insurance industry, so they understand the issues from your point of view. They keep your commercial interests at the centre of all the advice they give.
All our commercial lawyers are trained in Financial Services Authority (FSA) and Association of British Insurers (ABI) guidance, rules and regulations, and take into account FSA principles such as Treating Customers Fairly. We work closely with major insurers, across the full range of business sectors.
We've assisted on procurement and PFI projects for major healthcare contracts. We've advised on contracts for landmark construction and real estate projects.
We've helped with complex technology contracts, from a £200m software development & maintenance contract for a general insurer, to a contract for new fraud detection software for a life business. We also advise on advertising and promotional contracts for insurers.
We also sit on the advisory panels of major private and public sector organisations. So we can help to shape the insurance market for you, not just advise on its current state. We wrote the Contract and Commercial Guidelines for Intellect, the trade association for UK IT and electronics companies and provide a quarterly policy coverage update to our clients in that sector.
We also host regular training, shadowing and seminar events to inform our insurance clients of proposed changes to the law.
They are reasonable, responsive, reliable and very keen to build up the relationship and understand our business." Chambers UK 2011
