Jo has widespread experience in advising trustees, companies, financial institutions, public sector bodies and local authorities on all areas of pensions law.
As well as advising on the day-to-day matters, she also enjoys advising on the pensions aspects of sales of shares and assets, mergers and corporate restructurings, and outsourcing and transfer of services or new models of care projects, and advising on the impact of specific legislation such as the Finance Acts, Pensions Act 2004 and TUPE.
In addition to advising on all aspects relating to occupational pension schemes, Jo has considerable experience in advising on public sector pension schemes and the local government pension schemes, employers sponsoring personal pension arrangements, on pension issues relating to settlement agreements and executive remuneration, and in relation to the implications of discrimination and auto-enrolment legislation.
Jo regularly gives client-specific pensions training and talks on pension issues.
