Diversity

DAC Beachcroft’s Diversity Policy reflects our ethos that being a
diverse organisation means respecting and valuing difference. It
applies to all of our working relationships, both internally and externally.

Our aim is to support our employees to achieve their potential and to create an environment in which people can thrive.

The policy reflects our business strategy which includes an objective to attract and retain talent by, amongst other actions, creating a culture:

"…which treats everyone equally, respects and values their differences, and provides supportive management direction together with learning and development designed to help people grow through achievement."

You can view our diversity statistics here.

Here are some examples of our commitment to diversity:

DAC Beachcroft is a founding signatory of the Law Society's Diversity Charter, a member of Stonewall, the Employers Forum on Age (EFA) and the Employers Forum on Belief (EFB).

Every new employee has training to raise their awareness of diversity and inclusion and to understand the value we place on this as a firm.

We have supported our LGBT staff in setting up their network, Spectrum, as well as encouraging their involvement in setting up and participating in local professional networks in London, Leeds and Bristol.

We have also provided facilities for prayer/quietrooms in several of our offices where staff have wanted this facility. DAC Beachcroft is engaged in thought leadership through our membership of the CIPD Senior Diversity Forum.

We sponsor the Legal Launch Pad set up by the Black Lawyers Directory, providing mentors, work experience and training to ethnic minority law students.

We work with Pathways to Law working with sixth form students to improve their knowledge and understanding of the law as a career. The aim of the programme is to 'even the playing field' for bright, state school students with little or no personal experience or knowledge of the legal profession as a career.
